Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between splitting by page and by range?
Per-page splitting produces one file per page, useful for archiving receipts or invoices individually. Per-range splitting groups pages into chapters or sections like 1-10, 11-20.
Does splitting a PDF lose any content?
No. The selected pages are copied intact, including text, images, and annotations. Form fields and bookmarks scoped to other pages are dropped because they no longer apply.
Can I split a scanned PDF the same way as a text PDF?
Yes. The splitter operates on pages regardless of whether they contain real text or scanned images, so both work identically.
