Frequently asked questions
- What's the difference between splitting by page and by range?
- Per-page splitting produces one file per page, useful for archiving receipts or invoices individually. Per-range splitting groups pages into chapters or sections like 1-10, 11-20.
- Does splitting a PDF lose any content?
- No. The selected pages are copied intact, including text, images, and annotations. Form fields and bookmarks scoped to other pages are dropped because they no longer apply.
- Can I split a scanned PDF the same way as a text PDF?
- Yes. The splitter operates on pages regardless of whether they contain real text or scanned images, so both work identically.
